3 Father’s Day Gift Ideas He Will Actually Like

Father’s Day is in a mere 4 days, so we surely all know that tomorrow is really our last day to order anything from Amazon and have guaranteed delivery before Sunday morning! But if you’re anything like me, shopping for the perfect gift can be agonizing. Does he really need one more set of monogrammed golf balls? Or another meat thermometer? If you can relate and you need some ideas for the men in your life, here are three simple ideas that you can pull off by Sunday and that won’t end up shoved to the back of the closet:
Monthly Club Subscription – You can find monthly subscription services for just about anything. There are monthly subscriptions for exotic meat, craft beer, cake, cheese, socks and of course, razors. No matter what your man is interested in, you can find a service that will deliver one gift a month for whatever period of time that you choose; most offer 3 months, 6 months and 12 month options. Give him the gift that lasts all year and not just on Sunday!
A Day Off – Dads can often find it hard to step away from the family, especially on weekends when they come home to responsibilities like mowing the grass, coaching kids’ sports and tackling the list of “honey-dos” that you’ve been compiling for him. Give him some space to enjoy a day off by hiring someone to do the yard or check off some of the to-do list that’s been hanging over his head. Then purchase gifts cards to some of his favorite places or book him a tee time at his favorite golf course. When you take the time to plan all of this ahead of time he won’t feel guilty for getting some time away to do his own thing.
Peace and Quiet at Home – For the introverted dad, a day and night, by himself, at his house, may sound heavenly to him. Sure he may get alone time during the day, but likely, especially if you still have kids at home, does he get any time by himself AT HOME. If this sounds like the man in your life, pack the fridge full of his favorite beverages, fix his favorite meal or order his favorite takeout for him and then leave him alone for the night! While it certainly won’t be the perfect gift for everyone, some dads just need a little peace and quiet in their lives!
So what are you planning to get the dads in your life for Father’s Day? Will you stick with the basics or try to think outside the box this year?
