We’ve got just a few more weeks until school is out and summer is in sight! Here are a few highlights happening in Murfreesboro over the next month to keep you entertained until summer officially arrives!

Little Shop of Horrors

Various times through May 21st

This is one of the most beloved musicals of all times that tells the story of Seymour the flower shop employee and a wild plant named Audrey II. Tickets are $11 for kids and $15 for adults.

21st Annual Main Street Jazz Festival

May 5th & 6th

Sponsored by Main Street, Inc., this jazz festival features local, regional and nationally known jazz artists. The event is free and there will be a large kids area so the whole family can enjoy the event.

Bicycle Tours of the Stones River National Battlefield

Join a ranger for a 90-minute bicycle tour of the battlefield. No admission is charged.

Junie B. Jones, The Musical

May 5th, 6th and 7th

Presented by Perform Murfreesboro, this musical adaptation of the beloved children’s book character Junie B. Jones is sure to be enjoyed by the whole family! Adult tickets are $7.50 and youth ages 4-17 are just $6.

FREE Day in May at Oaklands Mansion

May 13th

Enjoy a free admission day at Oaklands Mansion from 10am to 4pm. You’ll find demonstrations by the 19th Alabama Civilian Civil War Reenactors as well as period games and nature walks through the heritage vegetable garden.

Hallowed Ground: Lantern Tours of Stones River National Cemetery

May 20th at 7:15pm

This hour-long walk by lantern light will feature letters written from both soldiers and civilians. Admission is free but reservations are required by May 15th. There is a 4 ticket limit per person.
